Меня это тогда так поразило, что я не купила у человека его услугу. Мне было неприятно и странно, что он за 10 лет не смог запомнить имя важного для его семьи человека.
Имя — это важнейшая часть идентичности личности. Если у вас нет ментальных нарушений или диагностированных нарушений восприятия, и при этом вы не запоминаете имена, это в большинстве случаев пренебрежение контактом.
Запомнить имя — это труд. Едва заметное напряжение в момент знакомства. Давать себе труд запомнить имя — это уважение к человеку. Не давать себе такого труда, даже слегка гордиться этим — неуважение.
Я знаю, сама такая, — все про перегруз, про «я такая особенная, этих помню-этих не помню», но позвольте поймать многих на лжи. Вы же помните по именам значимых для вас людей? А вот тех, которых не помните, — это и есть ходячая функция на ножках. Для вас. Нужный, но не ценный, как табуретка. Поставил, залез, снял, слез.
Знаете ли вы о том, что именем можно регулировать дистанцию и что, если мужчина занимается с женщиной регулярно сексом, но при этом избегает привязанности, то почти никогда не называет ее по имени?

Знаете ли вы, что одна из самых унижающих манипуляций — это переспросить в середине разговора «Как, простите, вас зовут?…» Если забыли имя и в планах нет унизить человека, лучше смело врите, что не расслышали.
(Недавно я так много говорила с операторами икеи и доставки, что на 5-6 звонок в день уже называла их ошибочно, именами тех, с которыми говорила до них. Говорила честно: «Наташа…я боюсь перепутать ваше имя; я правильно запомнила? прошу прощения, Марина, перегруз, звоню пятый раз, все уже перепуталось». И каждый раз понимала, что это человеку неприятно, поэтому говорила честно и извинялась).
Это не значит, что со всеми надо знакомиться в тот же час, или запоминать по именам огромное количество людей, если вы работаете с толпами (хотя я специально себя этому учила несколько лет), но гордиться тем, что вы уже 10 лет знакомы, а имя все так же выпадает у вас из головы или вы не дали себе труда его спросить, не стоит. Чужое имя ронять в пыль вообще не стоит.
У меня есть очень любимая и уважаемая мной подруга, которая называла меня «Юльчик». Эту форму моего имени, как и «Юлёк», я терпеть не могу. С подругой мы по этому поводу полаялись, но она пришла с извинениями, за что я ее еще больше зауважала, и больше никогда так меня не называла.
Я предпочитаю «Юля», нежели «Юлия». Полную версию своего имени ощущаю как чуждую мне. «Юлей» меня можно называть даже посторонним и незнакомым, мне ок. Когда меня называют «Юлия», я чувствую, что обязана втянуть второй подбородок и живот.
Один из моих мужчин называл меня нежно «Юлькин». Это, конечно, только от самых близких.
Один из моих мужчин старался никак меня не называть: только секс. Эта дистанция помогла нам продержаться в крепкой связи много лет (оба несколько психи).
Я сама никогда не называю людей Светик, Ольчик, Мишаня, Жорик, Юляша. Это сильно не моя тональность.
Мучительно путаю Ольг и Наташ. Не всех. Подруг не путаю. А если те и другие худенькие и русые, и малознакомые или впервые представленные, боже, для меня это сливается в одно имя и я неловко подслушиваю, кто в этот раз передо мной, у других.
